We have the tooling and ability to bend metal tubes ranging in size from small hypodermic (capillary) up to 2” diameter for a variety of applications. We bend round tube, square tube, and various other extruded or drawn shapes. We also create wireforms.
We are equipped to bend all types of metal alloys including aluminum, copper, brass, steel, stainless steel, inconel, bundyweld, cupronickel, kovar, roday, and nickel 52. We bend aluminum because of its light weight, corrosion resistance, electric, and thermal properties. For aluminum tube bending or extrusions, we try to select alloys and tempers that have some strength yet are elastic enough to take the bend stresses. In the process, tube is mounted and clamped between a clamping block and a forming die and loosely between a wiper die and a pressure die. The forming die creates the shape of the bent tube. For custom applications, we make all tooling in-house in a matter of days.
